Throughout January, Leavenworth shines during the Village of Lights: Winter Karneval, celebrating Bavarian tradition, winter culture, and seasonal fun under half a million twinkling lights. The festivities honor the German tradition of Fasching and offer entertainment and activities throughout the month.


January 3 — Día de los Reyes (Three Kings Day)

Celebrate Dreikönigstag with food, music, nature walks, storytelling, and gifts for children — a meaningful cultural event enjoyed by visitors and locals alike.


January 10 & 11 — Fire Dancers and Alphorn Performance

Front Street Park comes alive with exciting fire dancing performances and a special Alphorn performance, blending dramatic visuals with classic Bavarian sound.


January 15 - Game Night at the Park

Join us at the park after hours for a night of fun, family games. 6-8 PM. Come a half hour early and get a coaster ride in before the games begin.


January 17 & 18 — Live Ice Carvings
