what to expect

reserve tickets

  • STEP 1 - VISIT OUR TICKET WEBSTORE AND SELECT YOUR ADVENTURE: Click Reserve Tickets to go to the webstore. Scroll down to "Select Your Adventure" that you want. There is no entrance fee to the park. Ticket reservations must be made for all riders. Non-riders are free. Make sure that you meet Coaster Requirements, including ages and weight. Tickets for the Climbing Wall and Mining Sluice may be purchased in advance or on site at the park.  If you have questions or concerns, you may want to review our Park Policies​. 

  • STEP 2 - SELECT DATE AND TIME: Select date from a calendar. Then select your time. Times are check in times, not ride times. Last reservation is one-hour prior to park closing.

  • STEP 3 - SELECT TICKET TYPE:  Next select your ticket typeTickets are available for 1 or 2 rides with separate rates for Adult 13+, Youth 7-12, and Child 3-6. Every rider needs a ticket. Sleds can hold 1-2 riders. Once you check out, the webstore will ask you to create an account if you don't already have one. If available, use a coupon code or gift card code at check out.

  • STEP 4 - TICKET CONFIRMATION E-MAIL: Check your e-mail inbox for your ticket confirmation email. You may print, screen shot or save your tickets to your Apple Wallet. Tickets are only valid on the specific day of your reservations. For time or date changes, please visit our Help Center to make your request.

  • STEP 5 - SIGN WAIVER: For faster check-in, please sign waivers before coming to the park. Each guest who plans to ride the coaster or do another activity will be required to sign a waiver.  One waiver is used to cover all of our attractions. A parent or legal guardian is required to sign the waiver for those under age 18.  Guests who are watching others do not need to complete a waiver to be at the park. 

your visit

  • STEP 1 - ARRIVAL: The park is a short walk from Downtown Leavenworth. Parking is free.  Guests may check in up to 15 minutes prior, but no later than 60 minutes after, your reservation time. Late arrivals may be accommodated space permitting. Parking is free at the park. If the parking lot is full, please park at the city's free DOT Glacier P6, just a 5-minute walk across the street. Do not park on the road near the park. It's best to leave large bags locked in your vehicle. It's best to wear flat appropriate footwear when riding the coaster. Yes, the Alpine Coaster can run in the rain or snow. Shields are put on the sleds and ponchos are available for sale. The coaster will not operate in a lightning storm. If there is a weather or mechanical issue, you will receive information via email.

  • STEP 2 - CHECK IN:  All riders, including kids, must check in together inside the Guest Service Center on the 1st floor. For fastest service, sign waivers in advance. Present your ticket confirmation (printed out or on your phone) to the Adventure Guide. Non-riders may want to watch outdoors from the courtyard or indoors at Ludwig's Loft on the 3rd floor. Pets may visit the park, but are not allowed inside the Guest Services Center.

  • STEP 3 - GET YOUR WRIST BAND: All riders must have a wrist band applied by an Adventure Guide in Guests Services before riding. Tickets are non-refundable once redeemed. Upon receiving a wrist band at check in, guests will have 90 minutes to complete their coaster rides.

  • STEP 4 - STOW YOUR STUFF: No loose items are allowed on the ride, including cell phones that are not securely attached to your person. You may check your bags for free at the Guest Service Center. Filming on-ride is allowed (requirements here).

  • STEP 5 - TIME TO RIDE! Go right, through the Attractions Door, to take the stairs or elevator up to the 2nd floor to watch the safety video and get on the coaster. Be sure to tell the Adventure Guide if you plan to go fast or slow on the coaster! Give a thumbs up that you understand the safety video.

  • STEP 6 - ENJOY THE RIDE: Relax and enjoy the slow lift to the top of the hill. At the top, continuously push handles forward to go fast. Pull back on the handles to slow down. Remember to smile up top for your Twister Action Photo. If you had any problems or were stopped on your ride, please tell an Adventure Guide upon exit and they can offer you a free re-ride.

  • STEP 7 - AFTER YOUR RIDE: Upon exiting the coaster, you will be on the 3rd floor of the Guest Services Center. Check your Twister Action Photo the kiosk. If you are doing a second ride, you must go to the end of the line to ride again. If necessary, retrieve your stowed baggage on the 1st floor.  Check our menu and grab a drink or snack. Enjoy the view Ludwig's Loft. Free wifi is available at the park. All alcohol must be consumed in designated areas: Outside, Base Camp, or Ludwig's Loft.

filming on-ride

All devices used for filming on-ride must be securely attached to your person via chest, head, or foot harness for either the driver or passenger of the sled. Wrist attachments, selfie sticks or bite sticks are strictly forbidden. Final determination on appropriateness of filming equipment is at the operator’s discretion.
